High School Reunions has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and usage practices.

High School Reunions does not sell or rent your personal identification to third parties. High School Reunions does not provide your personal identification to any third party. We may on occasion provide service to a high school or alumni association notifying you of selected events.

It is the policy of High School Reunions to send our members only e-mail related to your high school reunion, high school, alumni association, or classmates.

Information Collection and Use
We do not collect demographic and profile data, this information is only to communicate with your fellow classmates. We do not analyze member’s information. High School Reunions will not use statistical information to describe our membership or to establish advertising and other business relationships with third parties, since that is not our focus.

Information will only be collected from public records or the actual classmates. Most of our information is supplied by the High School yearbook, graduation program, and past reunion information.

No information will be shared with unrelated third parties. The information will only be utilized to announce and solicit high school related products, such as this web site subscription, reunion information, alumni directories, and various high school events such as fundraising drives and homecoming.

Information is restricted to directory-type information such as name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, current job title, and business contact information.

Our research partners with which we have signed contracts, including confidentiality requirements. Information may include updated address, telephone number and/or email address information. This information may be merged with other personally identifiable information to enable us to contact individuals via mail, telephone or email, for whom the High School did not have current contact information.

Individuals themselves, who voluntarily provide their own information, or may provide information about another potential directory participant, High School Reunions does not knowingly collect information from individuals under the age of 17, the minimum age of a typical high school graduate.

In addition to the personally identifiable information described above, non-personally identifiable information may be gathered as you navigate our web site. We use this information to determine which pages you visit, and in what order you visit them, in order to help us identify the strengths and weaknesses of our site, so that we may constantly improve it to better serve you. No personally identifiable information is collected on our website that has not been voluntarily supplied by the individual themselves.

We want you to know that your personal data is safe in our hands and we ask that you read and comply with our practices described in this Privacy Policy to ensure the privacy of your data and that of others. High School Reunions provides you with ways in which you can alter the personal data listed below. To make these changes, please log into the Address Update page. Once you have made the desired changes, click the Submit button. Follow the directions below to make changes to your personal information.

You have the ability to change or correct the following information:

  • Your First or Last Name at Graduation
  • Your Graduation Year
  • Your Current First or Last Name
  • Your Email Address
  • Your Postal Address
  • Your School Name, City, State, or Country

The Security of Your Information
We work diligently to protect the security of your personal information, including credit card information, during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input. Your data is kept in a highly secure environment protected from access by unauthorized parties. It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer by ensuring you logoff when finished visiting High School Reunions using a shared computer.

Access to and active participation in all of our products and services is convenient and easy if you are a bona fide alumnus/a or member of one of High School Reunions’ high schools. If we cannot validate your affiliation, we may contact the high school to determine your status.

We want you to be actively involved in order to get the most out of our services, so we provide convenient, toll-free direct telephone numbers for customer service, and easy online access for you to contact us, too.

All High School Reunions employees sign confidentiality agreements confirming that they will not disclose personally identifiable information that they have access to as part of their job. High School Reunions restricts access to certain databases to employees on an "as needed" basis. Although no online data transmission can be 100% guaranteed secure, High School Reunions’ online security is consistent with online industry security requirements.

Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored in a browser-related file on your computer's hard drive when you use our Web site. Cookies are widely used on most major Web sites.

Browser Monitor
High School Reunions may employ a browser monitor within Web pages on our site in order to determine your browser status and the client-side metrics relating to page loading. We constantly seek ways to improve page load times for our members and may ultimately use these metrics for such purposes. Any such browser monitor will only be active while the use is active on the High School Reunions site. For your protection, any such browser monitor will not require an executable (*.exe) application.

Like most Internet sites, we use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our Web site. Your IP address is not used to gather demographic information.

Membership Removal
If you wish to be removed from our database for any reason, simply use our online Address Update form. If you have any problem removing your registration, please request assistance.

While we believe that High School Reunions product is valuable to everyone, we realize that you may not wish to participate. Your school, association, or organization will provide us with your directory information to carry out whatever project or service for which they have contracted with High School Reunions, but the inclusion of your personal information in any of our products or as part of any of our services is at your option. You have the ability to request omission of all or portions of your personal data from our directory projects, should you elect to do so.

High School Reunions will always abide by any request received by an individual to omit all or part of his/her personal data from appearing. Additionally, High School Reunions will honor any request received via email, telephone or mail, to be excluded from some or all of our marketing efforts (e.g., receive mailing offers, but no telephone calls) associated with our products, or products being offered in conjunction with our standard products.

Protecting the privacy of the young is especially important to High School Reunions. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our Web site from those we actually know are under 18, and no part of our Web site is intended for use by those under 18. Some high school graduates maybe 17 years old or younger, but this is the only exception to our rules.

Abuse of Terms of Service
We may provide your personal information to the police or other investigating agencies to assist them in the investigation of any suspected violations of law. We also have the right to share your name and contact information with our attorneys in the event of serious violations of conduct.
